Burton serves as Vice President at Mumford Company’s Atlanta, Georgia office, bringing more than 15 years of hotel brokerage experience and a proven track record in hospitality investment sales across the Southeastern United States. His deep regional expertise and diverse industry background make him one of the best sources of advice and counsel to hotel owners his market and a trusted advisor for hotel owners, hospitality investors, and hotel developers across the Southeast.

Over his tenure with Mumford Company, Burton has been involved in the sale of more than 135 hotel properties, representing aggregate hotel transaction volume approaching $350 million across all lodging product types. His practice focuses primarily on the mid-market hotel segment and extended stay hotel investments. With a strong concentration in the Southeast hotel market, Burton delivers targeted hotel acquisition and disposition strategies tailored to the unique dynamics of the region.

Burton’s professional background spans multiple disciplines within the hospitality real estate industry. Prior to his brokerage career at Mumford Company, he gained valuable experience in hotel appraisal and valuation consulting with CBRE and in hotel franchise development at IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group). This combination of hotel valuation expertise, franchise development knowledge, and long-term brokerage experience positions Burton as a uniquely well-rounded hospitality real estate advisor to provide top level advice to clients.

Based in intown Atlanta, Georgia, Burton is actively engaged in his community, serving in leadership roles with the Georgia chapter of Breakthrough Type 1 Diabetes Research Foundation and Peachtree Road United Methodist Church.  He enjoys spending free time traveling, maximizing returns on frequent travel loyalty programs with travel, running and cheering on his children at local baseball and swim team events.
