Carter Willcox serves as Vice President at Mumford Company’s headquarters in Newport News, Virginia. He specializes in investment sales and hotel brokerage, with deep expertise in the underwriting and financial analysis of hospitality assets.

Since joining the firm in 2017, Carter has completed dozens of hotel transactions across multiple states, representing more than $125 million in total asset value. His portfolio spans a diverse range of properties — from independent assets in premier resort destinations to institutional-quality hotels in secondary markets — with a primary focus on the Mid-Atlantic and Coastal regions of the United States.

Prior to joining Mumford, Carter built his foundation in hospitality valuation as an analyst with Hotel and Club Associates in Virginia, a firm now operating as part of CBRE Valuation & Advisory. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), where he graduated from the Pamplin College of Business with a concentration in Hospitality and Tourism Management.
