Justin — Managing Principal | Hotel Broker & Hospitality Investment Specialist
Justin serves as Managing Principal of the Washington, D.C. office at Mumford Company and has consistently delivered exceptional sales performance since joining the firm’s brokerage team in 2006. Recognized as one of the hospitality industry’s top hotel investment advisors, Justin has earned the prestigious “Broker of the Year” award from CoStar Group in 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020,2023 and 2025.
Over the course of his career with Mumford Company, Justin has participated in the sale of more than 250 hotel properties across 20+ states, representing over $500 million in total transaction volume. His expertise focuses primarily on the mid-market and economy hotel sectors, with a concentration throughout the Eastern United States.
Before transitioning into hotel brokerage, Justin worked as an Analyst and Sales Assistant with Mumford Company from 2005 to 2006. In this role, he supported all regional offices by conducting hotel valuation analysis, hospitality market research, investment underwriting, and the preparation of property marketing materials and corporate sales initiatives. This foundational experience provided him with deep insight into hotel operations, valuation strategy, and investment positioning.
Justin earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics from the College of Business at Old Dominion University.
