The Mumford Company was pleased to represent Jax Hotel, LLC in the recent sale of the Hampton Inn East of Jacksonville, Florida to Sun Coast Hospitality, LLC. This is the 3rd disposition in recent years in which Mumford Company has represented the principals of Jax Hotel, LLC.
The purchasers own numerous hotels in the southeast, but this is their first foray through acquisitions. They plan to renovate the hotel to Hampton Inn standards and continue the positive operating trends that the property has experienced in recent years.
The 112-room, 5-story, interior corridor hotel is proximate to regional demand generators including Carnival Cruises, Alltel Stadium, downtown Jacksonville and Jacksonville International Airport.
The East Coast’s major north-south thoroughfare, Interstate 95, bisects Jacksonville, and soon to be Interstate 295 passes in front of this Hampton Inn. With more than 1.31 million residents, the Greater Jacksonville Metropolitan Area is the most populous city in Florida.
