David Mumford of the Mumford Company’s headquarters in Newport News, VA and Tom Sommer of the firm’s Chicago, IL office facilitated the sale for $7,200,000. This is the second hotel that Mumford Company has sold for this seller in recent years. The purchasers, a multi-unit ownership group from New Jersey, plan to make major investments in renovations to the 111-unit hotel and continue to build upon the Hampton Inn’s position of market leadership.
